Jewellery Is A Fantastic Gift for Mother's Day

As Mother's Day is now just a couple of weeks away, it's time that kids everywhere stopped to have a think about what their mums might like as a little present.

Sadly for me my mum is longer with us, so personally it's not something I have to think about, but I have 2 kids of my own and they always splash their cash on a little present for me. I also have to get something for my husband's mum as he doesn't have a clue and would probably end up at the last minute getting her a bunch of flowers from the local garage!!

From a personal point of view I’m especially keen on silver rings and have quite a large collection.  It doesn't make any difference if it's cheap or expensive, just so long as it's in a style that I like. I am just as delighted with a ring from a high street chain as an expensive jewellers because to me it's not about how much the ring cost, but that they actually thought to get me something.

Funnily enough last year they both gave me silver earrings.   For kids they do have pretty good taste in ladies jewellery, so something good must have rubbed off from me.

The same can't be said for the presents they got for their dad on Father's Day last year.  They both chose men’s jewellery for him, and in all honesty neither piece was something my husband would wear.This year they are thinking of getting him some tools to use around the home, that would certainly keep him out of mischief.  Better still would be something to do with his much loved golf clubs.   I have never met anybody so keen on a sport.  My other half can be found playing golf in all weathers, except when the golf course is shut due to thunder and lightning.

Having said all that, I had better ensure he hasn't gone and booked any golf on Mother's Day. Even though the kids buy me a gift, it's hubby who cooks my breakfast as the kids would be an absolutely disaster if let loose in the kitchen.
