Celtic Wedding Rings For Love Eternal
You don't have to be of Irish or Scottish descent to appreciate the beauty and symbolism of Celtic wedding rings. Celtic wedding rings have been adorning wedding fingers for hundreds of years. There are many, many patterns and styles to select from when considering Celtic wedding rings.
Many couples associate a Celtic wedding ring's continuous patterns with eternal love. Many of the knots and designs are believed to symbolise the coming together of two halves into the one whole.
Metals. Celtic wedding rings can be made from from white, yellow or pink metals. Due to the intricacy of the patterns and knots, these wedding rings can look absolutely stunning when incorporating more than one color metal. Titanium and tungsten are generally regarded as being too hard to work, carve, and engrave into these ornate and intricate pieces.
Patterns and Designs. There are dozens of basic Celtic knots to select from, these choices can then be multiplied indefinitely when the knots are doubled or trebled, or woven with other patterns and designs. Celtic wedding rings can also utilise Claddaghs, hearts, leaves, vines, circles, braids, crosses, dates, names, Gaelic words, and initials. With descriptions such as lover's knot, eternity, eternal love, along with Celtic heart and infinity, the names speak for themselves.
Patterns and designs can range from deceptively simple to complex and ornate. Wedding rings can feature Celtic scrolls, knots, and designs in several ways. Simple bands can be carved or engraved with the design. Alternatively the knots and swirls can be woven from various strands of metal to create a three dimensional effect. These braided style wedding rings can either be left to stand alone with scalloped and patterned edges, or enclosed top and bottom with a band of metal for a more substantial ring.
Celtic wedding rings are a perennial favorite for those seeking matching wedding rings. Generally the groom's ring may be made with the same design, but to a more generous width to accommodate a bigger finger. Another popular option is to have the bride's wedding ring decorated with carefully placed diamonds or gems, leaving the groom's wedding ring bare.
Due to the often very ornate nature of Celtic wedding rings, many of them, particularly those that are woven from separate strands of metals, may not be able to be re-sized too dramatically in the future.
Celtic wedding rings are available in a huge variety of patterns, and styles, from simple to highly complex. The never ending patterns make for highly symbolic wedding rings.
